Dear Eminent Parents/Guardians,

APPRECIATION:

TO JEHOVAH GOD BE THE GLORY, for helping us to successfully see the end of this 3rd term (2021-2022 academic session). This is gradually coming to an end on Friday, July 15, 2022.  (NO SCHOOL from Monday July 18, 2022).

Learners would resume for the next term Academic Session on MONDAY, September 5, 2022. 

We are also grateful to our Valued Parents/Guardians for your continued patronage and supports to all the school programs.

PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES : We are using this letter to reiterate that school fees are to be paid on or before resumption day. We have advised the parents on partnership of Tombey School with Sterling Bank Plc in meeting the prompt payment of schools. If there is need, PLEASE KEY TO THIS, in the interest of the child and the school. May God bless you as you invest in the future of these children who are God’s inheritance.

SUCCESS RECORDED : To God be the glory for achieving all our goals for this session. We are grateful that our children excelled in external programs they were exposed to. Among these are :
(1) Radio Nigeria Ikoyi organized a competition in commemoration of the international Day of the African child. This was held on Thursday June 16,2022 and our learners excelled in the competition. Master Nifemi Olayiwola (JSS3) came first in Poetry, Master Promise Telewa (JSS3) came third in Essay Writing and Miss Rebecca Ogunfeyitimi (JSS 2) was given the Most Promising Child.

(2) NAPPS Lagos State Sports festivals for 2022: The following students were NAPPS Kosofe Champions during the 2022 NAPPS Lagos State Sports Event held at Teslim Balogun Stadium .

Female – 100m race: Lawal Aishat 1st position  ,200m race : Lawal Aishat 2nd position

Male  – 100m race: Ashiru Ibrahim 1st position , 200m race: Ashiru Ibrahim

Indoors Games

Scramble: Olayinwola Nifemi: 1st position

Chess: Agu Munachi (Senior  category) 1st position

Ludo (Junior category) Ashiat Lawal: 1st position , (Senior category) Adebusuyi Oreoluwa

Ayo (Junior category) Agu kelechi: 1st position

3) Inter School Sports Competition : On June 27 , 2022  the following learners – Zion Olaleye, Success Telewa and Fiyin Ogundipe  represented the school in Chess Competition organized by Brain Chess International held at  Christ the King School, Gbagada. The above mentioned children showcased their skills excellently .

The following learners are the Champions for Kosofe Chapter for both Primary and Secondary Schools .

They are : Master Mayowa Ajaye ( Primary 5) and Master Munachinoso  Agu (SS 2 ) .

 Also Miss Oreoluwa Adebusuyi(  SS1) came 3rd from all the College learners that participated in Spelling Bee Competition in Kosofe Chapter.

This TRIO would represent Kosofe Chapter  at the  State level competition. It is our hope and desire that learners from Tombey School Kosofe Chapter would represent Lagos State in the NATIONAL NAPPS COMPETITION IN ABUJA.

In all, we are proud of them and by extension all our learners have excellence in Knowledge and Character.

STRATEGIC PLANS: We will intensify efforts on improvement of learners not only in academic endeavours but also in affective and psychomotor skills. Digital skills to all learners would be our priority. Nelson Handwriting and sustenance of E- Learning platforms. Just like Albert Einstein once said  “Education is NOT only learning of facts but TRAINING of MIND to THINKING. Going forward, we would continue to expose our learners to CRITICAL THINKING.

SUMMER SCHOOL : The summer school will start from Monday August 1, 2021  and end on Monday, August 26, 2022  . We have posted the flier to the platform. The program would be a SPLASH, going beyond academics but vocational skills acquisition and leadership skills training, with entertainment.

PARTNERSHIP . All parents/ guardians are our partners . With effect from July and as discussed in our Business Meeting , financial empower would be extended to all well wishers for marketing the school products . For details see Head Of School or Administration.

Our intention is to empower our parents/guardians in this trying period.
